What was the core concept behind the Frezyderm Crilen range?

Our primary goal was to visually refresh the Crilen insect repellent line while firmly maintaining its previous color palette. This product packaging redesign aimed to physically translate the feeling of an insect bite on human skin. To achieve this specific sensation, we explored new design forms alongside traditional offset printing technologies. The final visual identity was seamlessly applied across carton boxes, plastic tubes, and paper labels for the brand's global launch.

How does this product packaging redesign utilize texture?

The tactile solution relies entirely on an innovative multilevel emboss technique. When consumers touch the carton box, the special textured surface mimics the impression of injured skin. Conversely, the area surrounding the brand's logo features a completely soft and flat texture. Through this product packaging redesign, the stark contrast immediately communicates the soothing sensation of protected skin provided by the product.
