An Art Object for Collectors

The Greek olive oil market faces a persistent paradox: despite its outstanding quality, most of it is exported in bulk, stripped of design value and brand identity.
ABC Design Communication, an award-winning agency specialising in branding and packaging design, was invited to create a brand that would break this cycle — transforming olive oil into an object of art and international desire.

Our approach for CELA was not simply to design packaging, but to develop a holistic branding concept that turns the everyday act of using olive oil into an aesthetic ritual. We drew inspiration from the cultural heritage of the Aegean, incorporating references to Cycladic figurines and Minoan frescoes. The sculptural form of the bottle, combined with its wooden base, elevates it into a premium design object aimed at collectors, connoisseurs and anyone who appreciates the narrative power of crafted artefacts.

Using sustainable, plastic-free materials and a carefully curated visual identity, the brand unites tradition with contemporary design, reinforcing our core belief: that design can generate value, culture and emotion.

CELA proves how a truly holistic branding and packaging strategy can transform a product into a cultural symbol — a brand with a distinctive identity that stands out confidently in the international marketplace.
