Jean Paul Lab, a company serving professionals in the hospitality industry, entrusted us with the packaging design for its new series of ten unique tea blends. The challenge was twofold: on one hand, the packaging had to be highly functional, perfectly preserving the freshness and aroma of the content with an airtight seal. On the other hand, we needed to create a cohesive yet flexible visual identity capable of expressing ten distinct flavors, while offering a memorable and engaging experience.
To meet the functional requirements, we chose paper cylinders, a solution that ensures product protection and durability. For the visual identity, we drew inspiration from the world’s diverse tea cultures. We developed a design language that combines engravings from different eras and civilizations, all connected through the universal ritual of tea. This multicultural narrative was expressed through ten individual color codes, one for each blend, while elegant typography emphasized the premium character of the series.
The result is a packaging series that transcends the role of a simple container. It becomes a storyteller — offering both hospitality professionals and end consumers a multi-sensory experience that connects taste with the rich cultural heritage of tea. The packaging not only stands out aesthetically but also adds intrinsic value to the product, strengthening Jean Paul Lab’s image as a brand defined by quality and cultural depth.
