The client’s request was to design a series of home fragrances that would pay homage to Greek mythology through a modern, premium visual language. A product that connects the fragrances with the archetypal forms of deities, offering a holistic sensory experience in the space. The packaging had to be imposing, artistic and function as an autonomous decorative element of high aesthetics. To convey the energy and character of each deity in a way that appeals to an international audience. Our strategy was based on the reinterpretation of classical sculpture through modern packaging.
We chose to use dramatic lighting and shadows (chiaroscuro) on monochromatic depictions of ancient Greek busts. We gave each fragrance a distinct color identity —from the deep red of Eros to the cool blue of Athena— while maintaining the black background as a constant of luxury. We incorporated typographic elements that combine classic structure with modern purity, emphasizing the semiotics of each name. Each cylinder tells a story, transforming the product into a “small sculpture”.
The result is a packaging that exudes awe and refined power. It highlights the cultural value and quality of Olive Spa fragrances. It stands with artistic confidence on the shelf, creating an atmospheric presence. It communicates tradition, mystery and timeless beauty. A packaging design that allows the myth to come alive in the modern home.
