Kafekopteio Kyma, a roastery with a rich heritage dating back to 1973, decided to enter a new era by launching three new Greek coffee blends. The challenge was to create a unified design philosophy that honoured the brand’s long-standing tradition while presenting the new products in a fresh, modern way. The packaging needed to communicate quality and authenticity, making the brand instantly recognisable and appealing on the shelf.
Our central idea was to bring the heart of the product to the forefront. Our inspiration came directly from the perfectly roasted coffee beans themselves. The strategic direction was to make the bean the absolute protagonist of the design, creating an immediate visual connection between the packaging and the rich, aromatic experience inside. The branding needed to speak the language of authenticity — showing rather than telling.
Our solution is a harmonious blend of tradition and contemporary aesthetics, where every element plays its role.
The illustration of coffee beans and the freshly brewed cup takes centre stage on the packaging, acting as a sincere promise of flavour and quality.
We created a clear colour system to guide the consumer effortlessly: deep green for the traditional blend, passionate red for the decaffeinated, and warm ochre for the light roast.
The background of each pack features a subtle pattern of leaves and coffee beans. This detail adds a layer of elegance and gently reinforces the natural origin and rich heritage of the brand.
The “Kyma” logo retains its handwritten, friendly character, strengthening the feeling of personal care and the long history of the roastery.
