Dynamic Fusion of Design and Flavour

Jean Paul Lab, a leading supplier in the coffee and hospitality sector, introduced an exquisite range of syrups for professional use. The challenge was to create packaging that communicates both the premium, expert nature of the product and the visual appeal needed to attract the end consumer who encounters it on the shelf of a café or patisserie. The design had to be cohesive across the entire line, while clearly differentiating each flavour.

Our central idea was to make the texture of the syrup itself the hero of the design. The strategic insight was to visually capture the sensation of rich, flowing syrup, creating an immediate, mouth-watering connection with the product inside. The branding wouldn’t simply describe the syrup — it would embody the experience of using it.

Our solution is a refined yet dynamic visual identity that blends professional minimalism with a burst of flavour.

We selected an elegant matte-black bottle as the main canvas. The black colour conveys sophistication, seriousness and professionalism, while allowing the colours of each flavour to stand out.

The key graphic element is the realistic depiction of syrup dripping — a visual that perfectly expresses its rich, silky texture. This becomes an instant promise of quality and indulgence.

Each flavour is accompanied by a vibrant “explosion” of its key ingredient (chocolate, strawberries, caramel), appearing to burst out of the syrup itself, adding motion, energy and a sense of sensorial pleasure to the design.

Flavour differentiation is achieved through the colour of the typography and the colouration of the syrup illustration, creating a system that is elegant, functional and easily recognisable by professionals.
