Gourmet Chocolate Drink Award-Winning Packaging – La Vittoria

A Journey of Flavour and Culture

Expanding its product range, Vittorio Gourmet Espresso decided to enter the wholesale market with two exotic chocolate flavours. The challenge was to create packaging for a B2B product that would go far beyond basic functionality. The design needed character — it had to tell the story of the chocolate’s origins and serve as a statement piece for premium cafés and bars that would showcase it.

Our central idea was to give each flavour a soul, a cultural identity. The strategy was to draw inspiration from the ethnic character of chocolate and personify each product with a dynamic female figure representing its origin. The packaging wouldn’t simply wrap the product; it would act as an invitation to a journey of taste and discovery — a piece of art designed to spark curiosity.

Our solution is a celebration of global cultural heritage, captured in an elegant and luxurious packaging series.

We created two unique female figures: one inspired by the artistic heritage of Mexico for the “Paolo Chocolate”, and the other by the rich traditions of Africa for the “Classic Chocolate”. These figures become the heart and identity of each product.

The background of each pack is adorned with intricate cultural patterns. The use of metallic textures not only elevates the sense of luxury but also ensures product freshness, merging aesthetics with functionality.

Vivid hues in the illustrations create a striking contrast against the dark, refined backdrop, highlighting the exotic and premium character of the chocolate.

Through branding and packaging design, ABC Design Communication captured the union of flavour, culture and art — creating a series that transforms chocolate into a sensory and cultural experience.
