ABC Design Communication designed the new kourabies packaging line for the Ioakimidis Family. Two flavor options, Almond and Chocolate & Hazelnut, take on a shared identity with a festive character. The goal was to elevate a traditional Greek sweet into a thoughtful gift option.

Our starting point was the role the kourabies plays in people's lives. It is tied to family moments, visits, and festive gatherings. The challenge was to translate this emotional value into the packaging preserving the familiarity of tradition while giving it a modern, premium expression.

Our strategy focused on the gesture of giving. A hand in a festive glove carefully holds a pure white kourabies. The imagery puts the product in the spotlight, connecting this small treat with the care that accompanies a gift.

Deep green characterizes the Almond recipe. Deep red distinguishes Chocolate & Hazelnut. The color differentiation is combined with the name and imagery of the ingredients. In this way, each flavor is recognized within a unified packaging family.

A luminous border embraces the central composition, evoking holiday decorations. Golden details and subtle patterns complete the festive narrative.

The elongated shape of the box adds elegance to the line, while the inner tray protects the fragile kourabiedes. The greetings on the side continue the experience of giving.
The result is a line that connects family tradition with the joy of sharing.

The packaging showcases the product and makes room for the emotion that accompanies it. A sweet we choose to offer, to share, and to welcome our loved ones.
