A Brand Identity Built to Train

Violanta, a brand synonymous with indulgence, set out to respond to the modern trend of high-protein products. The challenge was to create packaging for the new “PROTEINO” biscuit range that would break away from the brand’s traditional look. The design needed to communicate “high protein content”, “energy” and “strength” in a way that speaks directly to an active audience focused on fitness and wellbeing — without losing the trust and quality guarantee associated with Violanta.

Our core idea was to draw inspiration from the world of sports and performance. The strategy was to develop a visual language that radiates power and determination. Instead of soft colours and nostalgic imagery, we opted for an aesthetic reminiscent of gym equipment, energy drinks and urban culture. The branding wasn’t meant to hint at protein — it had to shout it with confidence.

The result is a bold, high-energy visual identity that positions PROTEINO biscuits as the ultimate “fuel” for an active lifestyle.

We chose a solid, impactful typeface for the “PROTEINO” logo, capturing the notions of strength and stability.

The biscuit is placed at the centre of a visual “burst” of rays, turning it into the undisputed hero of the pack — the source from which all energy seems to radiate.

A deep black background acts as the main canvas, adding intensity and seriousness. On top of this, strong accent colours that code each flavour (orange, green, brown) create a striking contrast that instantly grabs attention.

The key benefit, “20% PROTEIN”, is prominently displayed, addressing the consumer’s primary need at a glance and building immediate trust.

Through branding and packaging design, ABC Design Communication transformed Violanta’s PROTEINO into a powerful, energetic brand that bridges the world of nutrition with the aesthetics of strength and performance.
